Oh, my precious Lily! It is so painful saying goodbye. I am heartbroken at losing you.I write this with tears running down my cheeks because I miss you so, sweetie. I’m so very sad that you were afflicted by that nasty lymphoma and that you didn’t respond to the treatment. We tried, baby…we tried. Prior to this, you had a good life. The monthly Solencia shots helped your arthritis so much! You had no problem getting up and down from couches and chairs, did you? I so miss how you would always follow me to the bathroom and stand on your hind paws while your two front paws were on my thigh, staying like that until I picked you up and put you on my lap. (I was on the throne). And then it was massage time, wasn’t it? You would purr to your heart’s content. It made me feel good to see you so happy. Or how you always greeted me at the door. I loved coming home to you, hated leaving you. So many memories. Anna misses you too. She goes room to room looking for you, and meowing. I know she’s calling out for her friend. Lily, I was so blessed to have had you in my life for 15 years. I thank God for that. But I had hoped to have you a few more years. You’re at Rainbow Bridge now, waiting for that day when I join you, and we will again be together. Until then, have fun with your little friends. You will always be with me, for you have a special place in my heart and will be there forever. Rest in peace, Miss Lily.
